Netflix, the global streaming giant, has announced its latest addition to the sports documentary genre with the upcoming series "Receiver." The show will follow the journeys of prominent NFL pass catchers during the 2023 season, including Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders, Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers, and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions.

"Receiver" is set to premiere in Summer 2024 and marks Netflix's continued collaboration with the NFL, following the success of their previous hit series "Quarterback," which captivated audiences worldwide.

Produced by NFL Films, Omaha Productions, and 2PM Productions, "Receiver" boasts a stellar lineup of executive producers, including Ross Ketover, Pat Kelleher, and Keith Cossrow from NFL Films, Peyton Manning and Jamie Horowitz from Omaha Productions, and Patrick Mahomes from 2PM Productions.

Gabe Spitzer, Vice President of Nonfiction Sports at Netflix, expressed excitement about the new series, stating, "The natural progression is from a pass to a catch, so we're excited to dive into the 'Receiver' world after the success of our 'Quarterback' series. NFL Films, Omaha Productions, and 2PM Productions have delivered again in finding unique and dynamic athletes who will further highlight the drama of this sport on and off the field."

Joe Zucco, Supervising Producer at NFL Films, echoed Spitzer's sentiments, saying, "We were thrilled last summer to see audiences all over the world diving into the lives of NFL quarterbacks. We believe the extraordinary skills, dedication, and passion of the NFL's great wide receivers – and one tight end – will make a perfect follow-up."

Peyton Manning, one of the executive producers of "Receiver," shared his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "We are excited to be working again with Netflix and NFL Films to give fans unprecedented access to what it's like to play receiver at the highest level. As we did with 'Quarterback,' we look forward to telling the stories of five incredible receivers, each with their unique personality, skillset, and motivation for what drives them to be the best."

"Receiver" joins Netflix's impressive lineup of sports programming, including recent releases such as "Formula 1: Drive To Survive," "Full Swing," "NASCAR: Full Speed," "Untold," and "Tour de France: Unchained." With partnerships spanning across various sports leagues, including Formula 1, NFL, PGA TOUR, ATP, WTA, FIFA, WWE, and more, Netflix continues to be the premier destination for compelling sports content.
