Jacob Hacker, renowned for his multifaceted career as a professional firefighter, model, and actor, shares insights into his unique journey and how he navigates the diverse demands of his roles.  Reflecting on his path, Jacob remarks, "The more I think about it, it really is a unique background! I like to use the term for myself 'the Jacob of all trades' because I try to be well-rounded and knowledgeable in every aspect and skill involved in my life."  Jacob attributes his entry into firefighting to a sense of calling, stating, "I honestly don’t know why I was drawn to the world of firefighting. I hate to sound cliché, but I do think it was a calling."

Jacob's involvement in modeling and acting evolved as he embarked on a personal journey of transformation. "I was not always a healthy person," he recalls. "After I had my career established, I decided it was time to work on myself. Once I began to grow my confidence and look my best, that's when I decided to go way outside of my comfort zone and try to gain success in acting and modeling."

As a featured model for the Australian Firefighters Calendar, Hacker shares the rewarding experience of contributing to a notable project. "This opportunity came from determination," he explains. "I always said I wanted to be in a firefighter calendar before I was 30, and well…it was right around the corner." Reflecting on the charitable aspect of the project, he adds, "The MOST rewarding aspect of being a part of this project is doing it for a good cause. All these men...do it all for charity, and I get to be one of these elite members who joins the ranks to support these many charities."

Balancing the physically demanding nature of firefighting with the skill set required for modeling and acting, Jacob acknowledges the influence of his firefighting training. "I am trained to be calm, cool, and collected in fast-paced high-stress situations and environments," he notes. "This is a hard skill to learn, but that is why I don't get worked up, too upset, nervous, or freaked out when I'm modeling or acting."

Reflecting on his firefighting career, Smith shares insights into challenging situations and the importance of mental health support for first responders. "Death is always hard...especially when it comes to death involving trauma and/or children," he remarks. "We as a family understand how difficult even the good days can be when the dark cloud of PTSD hangs over someone's head."

Using his public profile to contribute to charitable causes, Hacker expresses pride in supporting organizations like the Byron Bay Mobile Animal Hospital and Sanctuary. "I couldn't be more proud to use my public profile to contribute to such an important cause," he says.

Looking ahead, Jacob remains open to new opportunities in firefighting, modeling, and acting, emphasizing his commitment to public service. "The sky's the limit in these careers," he asserts. "I'm just getting started, and great success is coming soon."

As Jacob continues to navigate the diverse aspects of his career, he remains dedicated to making a positive impact both in his firefighting community and the entertainment industry.
